Artist's Comments

...of a model picture i found here. but it looks nuthin like the original so yea..it's just another portrait drawing.

i've tried a new shading technique on the skin..i usually shade less on skin but in this one i've tried to phase out the whites and add on more grey tones..:-o but it kinda came out tooo dark this time!

..oh well experimenting will eventually help me find the right technique right?

A4 size artblock paper
mechanical pencil 2B
4B and 6B for the darker areas
12+ hours or so...

soo what do you think? Crits and comments always welcome..:D (its what helps me improve..)

she's beautiful and you made the portrait your own!! i like the dak shading, for the longest time i would be afraid to do that too but i find it adds more depth to artwork-beautiful pencilwork!

thank you Katerina  you're absolutely right about darker shading adding more depth to pencil drawings..but ofcourse its always risky.

You did a lovely job on this picture; I think the eyes are especially realistic, but you've done a great job on the skin tone too! :) And I don't think it looks too dark, but practice always helps to get a new technique just right! :D Keep up the great work!
